The invention relates to a hand tool machine protection device for a hand tool machine (12), having at least one operating element (14, 16) and a shut-off unit (18), which brings about a shut-off during a deactivation of the control element (14, 16) by means of at least one shut-off means (24). The invention provides that the hand tool machine protection device comprises an emergency shut-off unit (28), which is provided for an emergency shut-off of an operation of the tool (26) with an activated operating element (14, 16).
