<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite machine for permitting only a predetermined user to use the machine even if interruption occurs in communication with an authentication server for authenticating the use of the composite machine. <P>SOLUTION: In the composite machine 100 to which an authentication server 411 for authenticating the composite machine 100 via a network 202 and permitting driving is communicably connected, the composite machine 100 is characterized by comprising: a communication disapproval detecting means 508 for detecting that the communication with the authentication server 411 is disapproved; and an external medium authenticating means 509 for acquiring authentication information from an external medium 900 when the external medium 900 having an authentication information storage means 510 with the authentication information of the authentication server 411 stored therein is connected to the composite machine 100 when the communication is disapproved, and then, authenticating the use of the composite machine 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
