<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deter the printing of an image forming body, out of which the face of a person is missing, from developing in the execution of rimless printing area printing by forming an image recording region so as to protrude beyond the whole peripheral edge of the image forming body (for example, a photographic print paper). <P>SOLUTION: A face region including the face of the person in an image as a printing object is detected.
