<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for easily storing important photographic image data in a built-in memory. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The camera (1) includes: an image data generation part (20) for generating photographic image data including shooting date information on the basis of the output of an imaging element (10) at photographing; a storage device (30) storing the photographic image data; a writer (40) for storing the photographic image data in a detachable information storage medium (41); a schedule storage part (70) having calendar information and storing a schedule set for a specific date included in the calendar information; and a control part (80) provided so as to control the storage part and the writer, for collating the date information included in the photographic image data and the schedule set in the schedule information part, and storing the photographic image data in the storage device when the schedule is set on the photographing date of the photographic image data.
