<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect dew condensation without giving a disadvantage in cost and space, and also without allowing optical trouble to occur. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A digital single-lens reflex camera includes: dust-proof glass 31; a piezoelectric element 30 for removing a foreign matter adhering onto the surface of the dust-proof glass 31 by oscillating the glass 31; at least two GND lines 31a, 31b arranged on the surface of the dust-proof glass 31 in a mutually spaced state; and switches 31ab, 31bb for switching the GND lines 31a, 31b between grounded states and connection states to a power source 34a. The generation of the dew condensation is determined by detecting a resistance value or a capacity between the GND lines 31a, 31b in a state where the GND lines 31a, 31b are connected to the power source 34a by the switches 31ab, 31bb. When the generation of the dew condensation is determined, a foreign matter removal action by the piezoelectric element 31 is made to differ from a foreign matter removal action in a normal case.
