<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selenium powder of high purity and crystallization, a method of crystallization thereof, and a method of pulverization thereof which does not cause fusion or the like in a pulverizer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The high purity and crystallization selenium has a relative intensity of maximum diffraction peak of ≥1,000 and a half width of ≤0.3 in X-ray diffraction and a sulfur content of ≤20 ppm and a sodium content of ≤10 ppm, and is obtained by introducing selenium vapor into water to obtain amorphous selenium particles, heating the amorphous selenium particles at 100-210°C to crystalize them, and pulverizing the amorphous selenium particles into a powder.
