<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of setting a partner with whom communication is permitted, without having to perform complex operations. Ž<P>SOLUTION: FAX equipment has a limiting mode in which a granted device with which communication is permitted is set, and communication with a communication terminal device which is not set as the granted device is limited. The FAX equipment, a number of the partner with whom the communication, such as, retransmission request is performed, is input (S101), and a call for the communication is originated (S102). Then, after the communication has been completed in a normal manner, the FAX equipment shifts the mode to the limit mode, in which the communication terminal at the call destination is set as the granted device (S105). After that, the FAX equipment determines whether an incoming call is from the granted device in incoming call processing in the limit mode, and operates so as to limit the communication, if the incoming call is from a device other than the granted device.
