PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load measurement apparatus for stably measuring a jamming impulsive load. SOLUTION: The load measurement apparatus includes a pair of arms 1a, 1b. Base ends of the arms 1a, 1b are coupled. Distal ends of the arms 1a. 1b are freely opened and closed. Outer faces at the distal ends of both arms 1a, 1b are load receiving sections 2a, 2b. A force sensor 3 is provided on an inner face of the distal end of one arm 1a. A pressing section 4 for pressing the force sensor 3 is provided on an inner face at the distal end of the other arm 1b. The load receiving sections 2a, 2b are provided, so that the impulsive load can be stably and accurately measured in addition to a static load. If the load receiving sections 2a, 2b have the same size as a finger or a hand, an evaluation can be implemented on the assumption that the finger or the hand is jammed.
