PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the sound emission direction to a desired direction, through am easy operation in a television receiver. SOLUTION: The television receiver includes: a display for displaying images; speakers for outputting sound, and a remote control 4 that is operated by a user. The speaker is constituted so that the orientation changes in four directions of up, down, left, and right, when the remote control 4 is operated. The remote control 4 has a cross-shaped key 43 to be operated to change the orientation of the speaker, and the cross-shaped key 43 has four operation portions 43a, 43b, 43c, 43d, corresponding to the four directions, up, down, left, and right. Each time one of the four operation portions 43a, 43b, 43c, 43d is depressed, the orientation of the speaker changes by a predetermined angle in a direction corresponding to the pressed operation portion.
