The invention relates to an alkoxyamine of formula (I) below: in which R1 may be a hydrogen atom, R2 and R3 alkyl groups, such as a methyl group, R4 a phenylene group bearing an -SO3Na group, R5 a hydrogen atom, and R6 and R7 alkyl groups, such as an ethyl group. Use of these alkoxyamines as a radical polymerization initiator.
