<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical cell which is suitably used as a cell for a fuel cell or steam electrolysis system having a solid electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: An electrochemical cell unit 10 mainly includes: a cell body 13 formed by accumulating a single cell 1 having a three layer-tube structure in a plain-weave structure; an air suction-side manifold 14; an air discharge-side manifold 15; a suction tube group 11 connecting the cell body 13 and the air suction-side manifold 14; and a discharge tube group 12 connecting the cell body 13 and the air discharge-side manifold 15. Comparing the structure of the cell body 13 to that of a cloth, it is constituted by weaving a number of single cells 1 as a wrap and as a weft while crossing those alternately one by one. In each single cell 1 as the wrap and the weft, part thereof is replaced with a conductive lead wire 16 (for example, silver wire) such that an electron produced by electrode reaction is led into a load device (for a fuel cell) or a battery (for an electrolysis unit) via the lead wire 16. A cathode 4 of each cell contacts each other and further the cathode 4 and the lead wire 16 contact at a number of places, thereby ensuring a high current collecting property. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
