MANAGEMENT METHOD OF SECURE KEYS IN A SESSION-BASED TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICE AND TERMINAL SUPPORTING THE MANAGEMENT METHOD

PURPOSE: A method for managing a secure key in a session based communication service and a terminal for supporting the same are provided to maintain a flow of a media data by decoding data or message encrypted through an updated secure key. CONSTITUTION: A whole part or a part of an updated secure key is transmitted to residual terminals, a third terminal, and a BDS(Broadcast Distribution System)(S10). The residual terminals and the BDS extract the secure key updated from the received message. The residual terminals and the BDS transmit a response message about the received message to a PT(Push-To) function(S20). The PT function receives the response message from the BDS and the residual terminals. The PT function transmits a command message which commands application of an updated group key to the BDS(S30). The BDS transmits the received command message or a notifying message to the residual terminals(S40).
