<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen damage of an external case member while restraining an unwanted portion from being opened when opening/closing the external case member. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus (U), the external case member (U2) supported in an image forming apparatus body (U1) comes into contact with portions to be pressed (56 and 57) of an internal unit (BM) at an external case closing position, and the internal unit (BM) is held at an image forming position. When the external case member (U2) moves to an external case opening position in such a state, a holding portion at external case opening time (4) of the image forming apparatus body (U1) holds a portion to be held at external case opening time (66) of the internal unit (BM), and moves from the image forming position, so that the internal unit (BM) is held at a holding position at external case opening time different from an inside opening position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
