<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate the SOC (state of charge) of a secondary battery installed in a hybrid vehicle (HEV) or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for estimating the remaining capacity of the secondary battery includes a polarization voltage calculation part 100 including a voltage variation measurement unit which measures a variation amount ΔV of terminal voltage V of the secondary battery 10a in a no-battery-current state in which a charge-discharge current does not flow in the secondary battery 10a and a polarization voltage calculation unit 100 which calculates a polarization voltage Vp by use of the fluctuation amount ΔV; an electromotive force calculation part 14d which calculates electromotive force Ve of the secondary battery 10a by subtracting the polarization voltage Vp from a non-load voltage Vo in a state in which a charge-discharge path is open; and an SOC estimation part 17 which estimates the remaining capacity (SOC) of the secondary battery 10a based on the electromotive force Ve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
