<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display such that a liquid crystal display panel having a narrow frame area at a periphery of a display area is incorporated in a mold, and measures against peeling of the liquid crystal display panel from the mold being taken. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel is stored inside a wall portion 161 of the mold 16, and mounted at a step portion of the mold 16. The step portion of the mold 16 and the liquid crystal display panel are bonded together with a light shield tape. A part of the wall portion of the mold is removed, and a width-widened part 31 of the light shield tape is bonded thereto to improve the adhesive strength. Consequently, a phenomenon of peeling of the light shield tape from the mold 16 is avoided and at the same time, the liquid crystal display panel is prevented from peeling off the mold 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
