PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition system of an internal combustion engine for effectively suppressing insulating resin cracks at the end of a center core and reducing the costs of the ignition system.
SOLUTION: In the ignition system of an internal combustion engine, a low rebounding material 130 arranged at the end of the center core 120a is allowed to shrink greatly. Therefore, even if the volume of the insulating resin 180 is relatively large, cracks on a boundary surface can be suppressed without generating any large thermal stress in the insulating resin 180 in a high pressurization region. Also, in the low rebounding material 130 fixed to the center core 120a, only one portion of a circumferential face is covered with a protective layer material 130, thus increasing the contact area between the low rebounding material 130 and the insulating resin 180, and hence fully exhibiting the stress absorption capability of the low rebounding material 130 and effectively suppressing the thermal stress of the insulating resin 180.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
|
