<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image forming device preventing a situation that requires a call for repair service or the like by constituting them to enable detection and determination at the break of a bundle of paper at tandem feeding action. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sheet feeder has a control device (CPU) functioning as a determination means for determining the break of a bundle of paper (paper jam) based on an off-detection signal regarding a non-lower limit position, i.e., a non-stop position from a right tray lower limit sensor, an on-detection signal regarding a lower limit position, i.e., a stop position from a left tray lower limit sensor and an on-detection signal regarding non-tandem paper feeding from a tandem sensor. When the control device (CPU) determines that the break of the bundle of paper has occurred, it controls a liquid crystal display of an operation panel so as to perform the warning display of the break of the bundle of paper.
