PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water flowing from an accelerator lever, from flowing into a return spring part to prevent a fault in an accelerator lever device applied to a reach type fork lift truck or the like. SOLUTION: The accelerator lever device is composed of: an accelerator unit 2 mounted to the fixed side; an arm 3 almost horizontal in a longitudinal direction and provided to be swingable around a lateral shaft; a return spring 4 provided between the accelerator unit 2 and the arm 3 to always return the arm 3 into its neutral position; and the accelerator lever 5 erected on the side, opposite to the return spring 4, of the arm 3 and in a position spaced from the return spring 4.
