The manifold (1) has two half shells (1.1, 1.2) which are formed of punched sheet metal and are partially connected with each other in a gas-tight manner. The shells have four cylinder connection pieces (Z1-Z4), two separate adjacent exhaust gas channels (A1, A2) and an exhaust gas connection piece, at which exhaust gas channels flows. Two of the cylinder connection pieces are formed by the half shells (1.1, 1.2) and remaining connection pieces are formed by the half shell (1.2) and a half shell (1.3).
