The system (106c) has an analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion circuit (156) which converts the speed detection analog signal to a digital signal. The area of obtained digital signal above a set value and an area of obtained digital signal below a set value are determined to generate another digital signal indicating an offset of the analog signal, where the set value is zero. An independent claim is included for method for removing offset from analog signal.
