PURPOSE: An apparatus for depositing/paying paper money, a cash automatic teller machine, a paper money stacking method, and a paper money stacking program are provided to shorten a time for stacking total paper money by regulating progress of the paper money in a present regulating position. CONSTITUTION: A paper money information obtaining part(3) obtains paper money information. A stacking unit(4) stacks paper money in which the paper money information is obtained. A progress regulating part(7) regulates progress of the stacking paper money in a regulating position. A control part(9) controls a rotation operation and the regulating position of the progress unit. A receiving part receives paper money in which the progress is regulated.
