<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power consumption by decreasing a frequency of acquiring positional information in the case that a terminal is not stationary but it is not necessary to frequently acquire the positional information. <P>SOLUTION: At a mobile terminal 100, a GPS receiver 103 utilizes data received from a GPS satellite 200 to acquire the positional information of the mobile terminal 100. A pattern storage section 108 stores in a storage device 102 a pattern of the predicted movement of the mobile terminal 100. A positional information acquisition control section 109 compares the movement of the mobile terminal 100 sensed by an acceleration sensor 104 with the pattern of the movement stored in a pattern storage section 108 at predetermined time intervals to adjust the frequency for the GPS receiver 103 to acquire the positional information on the basis of a result of the comparison. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
