<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high efficiency of electric power generation in an electric power generating apparatus which is constituted using a compound piezoelectric material. <P>SOLUTION: A flexible compound piezoelectric material 3 produced by compounding piezoelectric ceramic powders 7 and an organic polymer 8 is placed in a housing 4 so that the compound piezoelectric material 3 in the housing 4 receives a mechanical stress by external vibration. Electric energy thus generated is stored in an energy storage device 6 such as a secondary battery or a capacitor, and a shock resistance can be enhanced and an amount of deformation of a piezoelectric element can be increased by utilizing the electric energy, so that the high efficiency of electric power generation can be achieved. When it is applied to the controller of a personal computer, a mobile phone or a game machine, an electric power generating apparatus with a natural key touch can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
