<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for holding ablation temperature around a microwave antenna high frequency probe during ablation treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a cooling system usable for a microwave antenna 10. The cooling system is provided with the microwave antenna 10 composed to send microwave energy from a power source to a tissue, a sensor module operably communicating with the power source 30 to detect at least either of a load impedance and a line impedance, a jacket defining a plurality of fluid distribution ports, adapted to at least partly enclose the microwave antenna 10 and defining a fluid channel between the microwave antenna 10 and itself, and a fluid pump feed system operably coupled to the power source to selectively provide cooling fluid to the fluid channel to be distributed through the fluid distribution ports based on comparison between the load impedance and the line impedance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
