<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a satisfactory image while reducing the effect on productivity by performing paper type discrimination also unless an automatic mode is set. <P>SOLUTION: In a second mode to form an image based on a predesignated type of recording medium, paper type detection is performed to a recording medium which is fed, and in a first mode to form an image based on the detected paper type of the recording medium, image forming conditions are set based on a result of the paper type detection in the second mode without executing the paper type detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
