<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine and a control method of the engine capable of preventing surging of a compressor of a supercharger which easily occurs when a vehicle is in a traveling state, especially in a deceleration state, and capable of effectively using energy obtained by work of the compressor. <P>SOLUTION: The engine 10 with the supercharger 13 is provided with a surging determination means for determining whether an operation state of the engine 10 enters a surging region where there is possibility that the compressor 13b of the supercharger 13 generates surging or not, a pressure reducing tank 30 for releasing a part of intake air supercharged in an intake passage 11, and a pressure reducing passage 31 connecting the pressure reducing tank 30 and the intake passage 11. Controlling for releasing a part of the intake air supercharged in the intake passage 11 to the pressure reducing tank 30 is performed when the surging determination means determines that the operation state of the engine 10 enters the surging region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
