<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular seat capable of absorbing shocks by moving an entire vehicular seat backward, and also capable of supporting a head. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this vehicular seat, an actuator retreats a main lock piece of a locking device of a slide rail 5 from an engagement hole according to a collision prediction signal of a prediction system, and the locking device cancels locking of the main lock piece into an automatic unlocking condition. Even when the locking device is under the automatic unlocking condition with the main lock piece, a sub lock piece is engaged with the engagement hole, and a vehicular seat 1 is held at a predetermined position by the locking device till an actual rear collision.
