The present invention relates to a microbe growth promoting agent containing lignosulfonate as an active ingredient, and to a phytoremediation for soil contaminated with heavy metal using the same. According to the present invention, the microbe growth promoting agent stimulates activities of microorganisms involved in increasing the degree of biological effectiveness of heavy metals in soil, in order to biologically restore soil contaminated with heavy metals, thereby providing effects of increasing productivity of biomass and phytoremediation effects for soil contaminated with heavy metal by using the same.
