<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal support device for a multistory parking system assembled inside a building capable of suppressing the propagation of the operating noise and small vibration to a building skeleton by supporting the multistory parking system on the inner wall surface of a building void and so acting on a large oscillation such as an earthquake that the multistory parking system is oscillated following the building skeleton. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This horizontal support device 25 is disposed between the multistory parking system 1 installed in the building void 3 and the inner surface 5a of the building void for supporting the multistory parking system 1 on the inner surface of the building void 3. The horizontal support device comprises at least two types of cushion rubbers 31, 32 which are so disposed as to be connected to one of the multistory parking tower 4 of the multistory parking system 1 and the inner wall surface 5a of the building void 3 and to be brought into contact with the other and which have different strain-resistant rigidities.
