<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning apparatus capable of excellently correcting a field curvature in the sub-scanning direction of a photoreceptor, and keeping a magnification constant in the sub-scanning direction, and achieving reduction in thickness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the optical scanning apparatus, the shape of the sub-scanning section of a transmissive imaging optical element 11 on which a light beam subjected to scanning and deflected by a deflection surface of an optical deflector 6 is made incident twice, a tilt angle α in the sub-scanning direction of a reflective optical element 7 disposed in an optical path between the optical deflector 6 and a surface to be scanned 12, and the relationship between the transmissive imaging optical element 11 and the reflective optical element 7 are provided.
