<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated guided vehicle system which reduces the number of used electric double-layer capacitors and which prevents an automated guided vehicle from being stopped due to power shortage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The automated guided vehicle system, which consists of the automated guided vehicle 300 and a power supply station 200 which supplies electric power to the automated guided vehicle 300, includes: the automated guided vehicle 300 which has a storage capacitor power supply 320, a power section 330 as a driving source for running. a discharge control section 311 which discharges the storage capacitor power supply 320 to the power section 330; and the power supply station 200 which has a charge control section 220 for charging the storage capacitor power supply 320. A standby voltage and a peak voltage higher than the standby voltage are set in the storage capacitor power supply 320. When the automated guided vehicle 300 is determined to carry out a predetermined workload or more, the charge control section 220 charges the storage capacitor power supply 320 up to the peak voltage.
