<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue power supply while preventing that excessive voltage is applied to a load device when a general-purpose stabilized power supply circuit is abnormal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A switching element 5 is connected to the general-purpose stabilized power supply circuit 4 in series. Feedback voltage taken out of downstream of the switching element 5 is connected to a control input 4c of the general-purpose stabilized power supply circuit 4. A voltage detection reference voltage generation circuit 8 generates a voltage detection reference voltage that is an upper limit value of voltage supplied to the load device 10. A hysteresis-equipped voltage comparison circuit 9 compares the voltage detection reference voltage and an output voltage, turns off the switching element 5 when the output voltage exceeds the voltage detection reference voltage, and turns on the switching element 5 when the output voltage becomes smaller than the voltage detection reference voltage.
