PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punch unit, can punch a hole at the correct position on a TCP(tape carrier package) tape, even if the position between the punch and a tape traveling mechanism in front and behind the punch is shifted. SOLUTION: A handler for TCP which tests each device using a test device, by making a TCP tape travel, which has sprocket holes at both the ends of the tape and connecting with a device on the traveling route of the TCP tape includes: a punch device, capable of punching the TCP from the one side surface of the TCP tape; a supporting device, set at the opposite side of the punch device with the TCP tape across the TCP tape, capable of moving in the contact/separate direction, with respect to the other surface of the TCP tape and supporting the other surface; a moving device which moves the support device so as to be separated from the other surface in traveling of the TCP tape and moves the support device so as to be close to the other surface in punching motion; and a position determining pin, set on the moving device, which has a size capable of locking the sprocket hole of the TCP tape.
