PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping paint for a roof and a roof structure capable of exhibiting a rain sound reduction effect even if the temperature of a roof material is changed. SOLUTION: This vibration damping paint composition for a roof comprises an aqueous resin dispersed fluid formed by dispersing resin particles which form a coating 12 in an aqueous carrier fluid and mica for increasing the damping properties of the coating 12. The resin particles are formed of a copolymer of methyl metacrylate and butyl acrylate. The mica contains swelling mica. The vibration damping paint composition for a roof contains trioctyl methyl ammonium ions. The vibration damping paint composition for a roof is painted on a metal roof material 11.
