<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid-based fiber enabling conducting favorable heat treatment in the production process and processing operation for textile products such as woven/knitted fabrics and nonwoven fabrics each comprising polylactic acid fibers, and causing no poor touch feeling in ironing such a textile product at a temperature lower than its melting point: and to provide a textile product comprising the polylactic acid-based fibers. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The polylactic acid fiber is composed of a poly-L-lactic acid whose D-form content is 0.15 mol% or less, being such that its melting point is 175°C or higher and its crystal melting enthalpy is 50 J/g or greater when it is subjected to DSC(differential scanning caloritmetry).
