<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy by reducing risk of turning off a lamp by extending a lighting retention time when a person is detected in a location where the person stays for a long time, and reducing a lighting time while a person is absent by reducing a lighting retention time when a person is detected in a location where the person stays only for a short time, in an automatic light control system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This light control system 1 is provided with: luminaires 21; a timer 31 counting a lighting retention time; a human detection sensor 4a arranged in the vicinity of an entrance; a human detection sensor 4b arranged in the vicinity of a lavatory pan 61; and a control part 23. Each of the human detection sensors 4a and 4b outputs an address signal along with a detection signal when detecting a human body. The control part 23 lights the luminaires 21 when receiving the detection signals from the human detection sensors 4a and 4b, and lights them during the lighting retention time defined on an address signal bases. Since the lighting retention time according to an address can be set, a time in which the luminaires are unnecessarily lit is reduced, and energy for illumination power can be saved.
