PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective film having excellent adhesive properties, transparency, unwinding properties, heat resistance, adhesive force stability and stain resistance of adherend. SOLUTION: The surface protective film comprises at least two layers of a surface layer (A) and an adhesive layer (X). The surface layer (A) is composed of a composition consisting of 0-99 wt.% of an ethylene-based polymer (a) and 1-100 wt.% of an ionomer resin (b) derived from an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer and the adhesive layer (X) is made up of an olefinic elastomer and/or a styrenic elastomer.
