<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor that reduces power necessary for phase change to reduce necessary energy, in the electric motor for relatively rotating magnetized rotors to freely change a phase. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the electric motor which relatively rotates the rotors on the inner and outer circumferential sides to change a phase, the rotors 12b on the inner circumferential side include a plurality of magnet pieces 16b which are magnetized radially, alternating the polarity circumferentially so as to allow the main magnetic flux to be directed radially. The rotors 12a on the outer circumferential side include first magnet pieces 16a1, 2, which are comprised of a plurality of sets of 2 pieces per set, magnetized radially, alternating the polarity circumferentially, and disposed circumferentially in parallel with the inner circumferential side magnet pieces so as to allow the main magnetic flux to be directed radially, and include second magnet pieces 16a3 to 5, which are comprised of a plurality of sets of 3 pieces per set and magnetized circumferentially, alternating the polarity circumferentially so as to allow the main magnetic flux to be directed circumferentially, wherein the first magnet pieces and second magnetic pieces are alternately arranged circumferentially.
