摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow meter capable of easily equalizing and symmetrizing flow velocity distribution by devising a sectional shape of a flow passage without arranging a flow straightening means and capable of precisely measuring the flow rate over a wide range from a laminar flow region to a turbulent flow region. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A diversion part 211 is shaped in a curved form at outer and inner circumferential sides continuous to an exit side terminal part of an inlet side connection flow passage 21b directed substantially downward so that the flow of a gas is diverted by 90°. The diversion part 211 includes a reduction part 211a in which an opening height of the flow passage decreases toward a downstream side in the flow direction. An adjustment part 212 is formed so as to be connected to and continuous to the exit side terminal part of the diversion part 211, and arranges the gas flow direction substantially in the horizontal direction. A flow passage height enlargement part 213 includes an increasing part 213a in which the opening height of the flow passage changes and increases in a step shape in the height direction at the outer and inner circumferential sides, continuous to the adjustment part 212, and is connected to a straight intermediate flow passage 21a (ultrasonic measurement section 21a1).
