<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pull-up type paper diaper looking tidy around legs for excellent appearance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A liquid-permeable top sheet is spread over both side edges of an absorber and fixed to the rear surface of the absorber. A raised sheet, which forms a raised cuff C, is further spread over both side edges of the absorber, which the liquid-permeable top sheet is spread over, from above, and fixed to the rear surface of the absorber. The fixing-starting end forms the end of raising of the raised cuff C. The raised cuffs C raise both sides of an absorber body 10 with the contraction force of elastic members the end of a free part and a root part. A plurality of thread-like or strip-like waist elastic members 20F and 20B are disposed at fixed intervals in the vertical direction and parallel in the circumferential direction in a waist part W. In an under-waist part U, under-waist elastic members 21F and 21B of 620 dtex or thinner are disposed at an interval smaller than the interval of the waist elastic members, parallel in the circumferential direction in the range of 60% of the under-waist region or larger in the vertical direction, and discontinuously at the center of the absorber. In the front bodice of a crotch region L, elastic members are disposed at a short interval, parallel in the circumferential direction, and discontinuously at the center of the absorber.
