<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method for working a cylindrical outer-ring 2 in a rolling-bearing device 1 for wheels having required dimensional precision without further turning a workpiece after heat-treatment of raceway surfaces 5, 6 and without causing unevenness due to quenching. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The raceway surfaces 5, 6 of the inner periphery of the outer-ring 2 are heated with a high frequency coil 28 in a state that the entire outer ring 2 is dipped in water 27.
