<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device folding a sheet by folding width showing the whole of a title section transferred on the sheet without turning a part of the section to a back side, an image forming device, a sheet processing method, a program, and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: By a memory means memorizing folding patterns which are its folding type about how to fold the sheet and a folding pattern table matching each folding width of the folding patterns, the folding pattern folding the sheet by the folding width showing the whole of the title section without turning a part of that to the back side upon finishing the folding of the sheet is selected from the folding pattern table according to the length of the title section in a direction parallel with a sheet feeding direction to the sheet processing device of the length of the title section which is an image transferred on the sheet.
