<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover body having dead fold property which is sufficient to retain an unsealing state and being suitable for a container for an instant food product or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cover body 2 for sealing the container has a paper sheet 204, a curling plastic layer 201, and partially easily peelable layers 23, and sealed to the container with the paper sheet 204 positioned on the lower side of the curling plastic layer 201. The cover body comprises an unsealing tab part formed at the outer peripheral edge of the cover body, a half-cut 24d for peeling the tab part positioned a lower surface side of the cover body, and an annular half-cut 24c for forming a hot-water spout formed on the lower side of the cover body 2 on the central side from the half-cut 24d. The partially easily peelable layers 23 are formed to surround the annular half-cut 24c for forming a hot-water spout, and a film forming the curling plastic layer 201 is glued on the paper sheet 204 while extension in a machine direction within an elastic deformation range is given to the film.
