<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen microprinting method having extremely high hydrogen detection efficiency including an extremely small amount hydrogen domain. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A material surface is subjected to nickel plating, which is metal plating having high chemical adsorption energy of hydrogen atoms, with adjusted plating thickness or adjusted surface roughness after plating, and then silver bromide is stuck thereon in the atmosphere having a relative humidity of 50% or higher.
