<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection device capable of accurately and efficiently performing the visual inspection of the surface of an inspection target by suppressing the overlooking of a flaw or the evaluation variations of the flaw by an inspector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The visual inspection device 1 includes a photographing means 5c for photographing the surface of the inspection target, a control means 11 for controlling the photographing means to form and output image data, an analyzing means 12 for analyzing the image data to detect the surface flaw of the inspection target to acquire flaw data, an image forming means 15 for forming an image composed of the observation image of the surface of the inspection target corresponding to the image data, and the flaw data of the surface of the inspection target corresponding to the flaw data, a display means 6 for displaying the image, a memory means 14 for storing the image data, and the flaw data and a selection means 7 capable of arbitrarily selecting the flaw on the image. The image forming means 15 again forms the image, which discriminates the flaw on the image and another flaw, from the image data and flaw data stored in the memory means 14 when the flaw on the image is selected by the selection means 7 to display the same on the display means 6.
