In order to lower the viscosity of bitumen or very heavy oil in deposits, thermal energy is applied to the deposit, wherein in addition to steam being applied according to the steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) process, inductive and/or resistive heating in particular can also be optionally applied, wherein a high-frequency generator feeds electric power to a linearly extended conductor loop (10, 15, 20) at a predefined depth of the deposit, and an inductive layer of the conductor loop (10, 15, 20) is compensated in some sections or continuously. According to the invention, the bitumen or very heavy oil is liquefied by way of an inductive conductor loop as a heater and is led away using an extraction pipe, wherein the conductor loop and the extraction pipe are disposed relative to one another such that the heating and thus extraction of bitumen or very heavy oil is maximized. To this end, one of the conductors (10, 15) of the conductor loop (10, 15, 20) is disposed substantially vertically above the extraction pipe (102). Models have shown that an extraction system can be exclusively operated using such a device for inductive heating and that steam addition to the reservoir is not necessary. |
