<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local time amendment method or the like for automatically amending time with a simple configuration and processing. <P>SOLUTION: In the local time amendment system 1, the navigation apparatus 2 has a clock section to count a clock time (UTC, Universal Time Coordinated) in units of minutes and seconds based on an atomic clock of a GPS (Global Positioning System) satellite 9. In contrast, a cellular phone 3 acquires information on local time by radio communication with a base station 8, which is connected to a mobile radio communication network 7. The information on local time signifies a local time of each administrative area, for instance, a country, state, city or the like. The navigation apparatus 2 acquires data in units of hours indicated by an internal clock section of the cellular phone 3 to amend the clock time counted by the clock section 24 in units of hours based on the acquired data.
