<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device and a control method capable of enhancing an acceleration feeling of a vehicle, by representing an acceleration waveform (a G waveform) having a torque feeling in rising, by controlling the acceleration at falling, after the acceleration peak, in the vehicle control device and the control method. <P>SOLUTION: In S7, engine output is controlled by feedback control, based on time series data of this target acceleration G.
