PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallized film capacitor wherein fuse operability can be improved without conventional adjustment of a fuse width and a vapor-deposited electrode film resistance which affects the loss characteristic and reliability of the capacitor. SOLUTION: A first split electrode 11 having a prescribed area is disposed in a lengthwise direction on the side going from an insulating slit 7 to an insulating margin 4, and a second split electrode 12 having an area wider than that of the first split electrode 11 is disposed in the lengthwise direction on the side going from the insulating slit 7 to a connection part 5. A second electrode film 3B has a structure obtained by exchanging the side of the insulating margin 4 and the side of the connection part 5 of a first electrode film 3A, and a first metallized film 1A and a second metallized film 1B are put one over the other and wound or are laminated. When the fuse operability is controlled, a width W in the lengthwise direction of the second split electrode 12 is changed and a width in the lengthwise direction of the first split electrode 11 is changed in accordance with the change of the width W, in a state where a width w of a fuse part 9 and the vapor-deposited electrode film resistance of the fuse part 9 are kept constant.
