<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic braking control device capable of properly intervening an automatic brake even when an automatic braking control area is expanded further to the vehicle side than a collision avoidance limit position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A braking control unit 5 variably so sets the target deceleration Gt of an expanding braking control to be performed as to be more lowered as the vehicle speed V is more increased in the area the relative distance d of which to an object to be controlled is larger than a first brake intervention distance D1 and smaller than a second brake intervention distance D2. Since an excessive deceleration which makes instable the vehicle behavior is not produced during the enlarging braking control in which the possibility of an avoidance operation by the steering of the driver is sufficiently present, the automatic brake can be intervened with a proper deceleration.
